Generally, the SBA’s grant programs fund non-profits such as educational of intermediary lending organizations to provide technical or financial assistance to small businesses. What is a Chamber of Commerce?
Chamber of Commerce is a business and community association, generally incorporated as a 501(c)(6) business. Chamber are not part of local state or federal government, though they do often partner with government to accomplish chamber missions.
Chambers of commerce are funded by membership dues as well as non-dues items such as events, sponsorships, contracts, and sales of products or services. The vast majority of the chamber membership roll is small businesses – businesses with fewer than 35 employees.
A Chamber of Commerce, rather than being narrowly focused on one particular industry, issue, cause or activity, focuses on a broad range of activities and supports both businesses and communities.

Skylands Small Business Development Center conducts small business training classes at Warren County Community College, the host to the Skylands Small Business Development Center, in partnership with the Center for Career and Personal Development.
